  • Today we looked at how to paraphrase and quote sources in our paper. Remember paraphrasing means you take all of the information from your source and put it into your own words. It is not the same thing as summarizing. 
  • We completed the paraphrasing practice exercise. It is due Monday the 2nd.
  • We then talked about thesis statements and your introduction paragraph. Remember that your thesis statement is what your entire paper is about. Your research should all be focused on proving your thesis.
  • Remember to use the sample MLA paper from the Purdue OWL website as a guide while writing your paper. It explains everything you need to know about writing a research paper and using MLA.
