Today's writing prompt:

•  Today we talked about the writing process focusing on editing your writing.

   1.Prewrite     
      a. Choose a topic
      b. Brainstorm
      c. Arrange and organize
   2. Draft
      a. Write a roughdraft
   3. Revise/Edit
      a. spelling, grammar, style, etc.
      b. READ OUT LOUD!!!!
   4. Re-write
   5. Final Edit and proof read
      a. Have someone else read your writing.
   6. Write your final draft 
   

• Write your comparative essay comparing the Beowulf movie to the book. Make sure you pick a specific scene, character, or event to talk about.
• Focus on creating strong introduction and thesis.
• Tomorrow we will peer edit your paper and write a final draft.
