Make sure you are watching for differences and similarities between the movie and the book. 
You also need to be making sure that you have answered all of the questions on the Act I and Act II study guides. 
We will be taking the test on Thursday the 18th.

Today we read up to page 95 in "The Death of a Salesman". 
We discussed and completed questions #1-26 on the Act II Study Guide.
The Part 5 Vocabulary was handed out. This is the final vocabulary for the book. 
We will be finishing the book tomorrow in class.

• Today we read up to page 76 in "The Death of a Salesman".
• We discussed what we read and answered up to question #15 on the Act II Study Guide.
• Part 4 Vocabulary was handed out and is homework. It is due Thursday December 11, 2014. 
• It is very important that you are keeping up with the vocabulary work and the study guide questions!!

We read and discussed pg. 50-65. This is the start of Act II. It can be read here: "The Death of a Salesman"
We began the Act II Study guide and you should be able to answer questions 1-8 after today's reading.
Remember that the Act I study guide and the Part 3 Vocabulary is due today.

• There is no writing prompt today. We will not have any prompts this week as we will be focusing on finishing the book. 
• Today we finished Act I in "The Death of a Salesman", pgs. 37-49.
• We discussed what we read and finished the Act I Study Guide questions. These are due today!!
• The part 3 vocabulary sheet was handed out. It is due at the beginning of class tomorrow, December 9th. 
• Make sure you are keeping up in the reading and getting your work done!

Is there such a thing as a perfect family? Maybe the perfect family is not really perfect. You decide in today's writing prompt. As usual, be very descriptive. We should be able to visualize what your family looks and acts like.

 

• We continued reading "The Death of a Salesman", pages. 12-24.
• We discussed the story and plot line at various points throughout the reading. Make sure you have a clear understanding of what is going on.
• You should be able to answer question #'s 1-15 on the Reading Guide by the end of today's reading.

Be creative with this prompt. Yes it is a little disturbing but it is up to you to make it whatever you want it to be.

We had a short discussion about yesterday's free write for "The Death of a Salesman".
We did the part one vocabulary for "The Death of a Salesman".
I introduced all of the characters for the book and we discussed their roles and personalities. Take a look at the character list and be familiar with all of the character before we start reading tomorrow.

For today's prompt try to think beyond physical appearances and more about personality or character traits. 

 

• We discussed the Beowulf research papers that have been graded. Some things that you need to consider when writing research papers. 
• A research paper has to be your own words with SOME support from the research you have done.
• Has to be scholarly research. No ask.com or essays.com.
• Must have a conclusion that wraps everything up and brings closure.
• It is not enough to be a good writer. You have to conduct and use research. 

•  I introduced "The Death of a Salesman" and briefly talked about what the book is about.
• We did a free write about the American Dream and family. I will have the actual paper posted on here by the end of the day Tuesday.
